Today was as usual the longest day. We did have time to have breakfast at the hotel and then we were off to park the car at the airport, catch the shuttle to the South Terminal and get ready to board our flight.
We'd chosen to fly to Tampa instead of Orlando itself. Although slightly further away, the journey from Tampa to the house is usually less stressful than travelling from Orlando Airport.
In the past, flights on this route have proven to be less than full, but it wasn't so today. Soon we got an email from BA offering us to check in out hand luggage at no cost. This was useful as it allowed us to take a few things with us which would have been prohibited in our hand luggage.
We found our seats and, only half an hour after our scheduled departure time, we were on our way. This is always a long flight for both adults and for young passengers and today was no different.
